First audible--off to see Abraham Lincoln's Predential Museum

We made great time driving through the night and got to Illinois faster than I thought.  We took a break at the 1st rest stop and learned that Springfield was not that far out of the way from our hotel in Peoria;  so off to Lincoln's museum we went.  The lady told us that Pixar just remade the museum and brought some Disney magic to history.


There were two short movies at the museum which had seats that vibrated when canon's went off.  (think Tree of Life at Animal Kingdom).  The other movie had holograms floating out of the ceiling.  Very cool!  I could've spent all day there reading about all the history, but the swimming pool beckoned and the kids would not take "hang on" for an answer.  They were great in the car.  No complaints, reading their books, watching movies and being very patient.  I'll have to return to the museum another day.
